Description:
Greg Mainer looks the same as most Corellians with his amber eyes, but from there the similarity is harder to find. His hair was genetically modified at a young age by slavers and changed to a deep blue, oddly though it has a natural look to it as if it was meant to be so. His features have that usual corellian dashing rogue look about them. His body is about an average build, though his muscles are slightly more defined due to the military training he received and his personal fitness regime. He stands around 5'10, with legs noticeably built for reflexive actions not speed but they do give him the running and moving speed he so often requires.
Usually when completely off duty Greg wears an almost leather jacket, which looks strikingly similar to a flak jacket only with sleeves. It has a dull crimson colour to it, so it allows him to blend in at night. His pants are usually light, dark material (often grey, red or blues) to allow him to move freely about without restricting his movements. Recently, Greg has started dying his hair dark brown at first due to work and then even after leaving that job he kept up the habit of dying his hair. More for appearance's sake then personal preference.
Usually unseen details:
Greg's body shows signs of abuse, illegal experimentation and his job. His torso is dotted with small scars, a few larger knife wounds, some blaster burns and similar. Surprisingly though half of the scars seem too old to be accounted for by his known career in security and military lines of work. Anyone guessing as much would be right, although Greg will rarely confirm people's thoughts should they voice them.
The most noticeable scar is vertically above Greg's left kidney and shows where he was cut open by the slavers for inspection. The scarring is fairly vivid there and in other places, be they faint or strong scars. All of which suggests that he was seen medically in some way without medication or bacta.
Biography:
Greg was born on Corellia to a middle class Family with a local militia leader and a clerk for parents. His life went normal until he turned six, a few months after his birthday he was abducted by slavers that his father was working to bring down. Of course they knew who he was so when they had him they started to genetically modify him like all the other children they abducted. Although due to their hatred of his father they did so on Greg without medication, luckily the doctor they had was somewhat sympathetic and started with the less painful modifications first.
Which still were extremely painful, although after the third un-medicated operation Greg refused to cry any more. Something that greatly annoyed the slavers, they were glad to hear his screams and see his tears. A pleasure he was denying them, so as they slowly modified him into a fake cathar he grew weaker and weaker. Always getting closer to death but refusing them their entertainment. As this went on for a period of two months he grew resigned to his fate but refused to give in or die. Something which annoyed them even more, if he wasn't going to break then it would be more work for them.
Towards the end of the second month Greg's luck changed, a taskforce led by his father attacked their base of operations on the day he was scheduled to get a tail grafted to him. He could hear the fighting and was left alone strapped to the operating table until the fight burst into the room with a squad of Corellian Militia men driving back the slavers through the room. His father was with them and when he saw Greg he broke cover trying to get to his son in an emotional moment. He was shot during that attempt and although he reached his son he was dying.
That had been some while ago for Greg but he vividly remembered it and was more then willing to tell strangers about his father. He'd spent the following years recovering from his ordeal, rather enjoying the enhanced nightvision and extra agility they'd given him. Although he wasn't used to the blue hair they'd caused him to have still over the years it grew on him. As he kept training over the years he enlisted in the local militia and was shocked to see how corrupt it had become since his father's time.
Greg endured the taint for as long as possible until ordered to engage a group of 'smugglers' who it turned out were merely people transporting politicial oppressors off planet. During the firefight that the militia started Greg switched sides and aided one of the ships in escaping with him on it. Smuggling himself back down to the planet from orbit he collected his stuff and said farewell to his family before leaving a security officer on a passing passenger ship. It was around then that Greg began to dye his hair to blend in better among people and to be harder to find.
However once again the bad habits of mankind caught up with him and he killed some of his fellow security officers for attempting to use a girl as they saw fit during shore leave. He was forced to flee again but was approached by a man and offered a job in the Ailon Nova Guard. Needing an escape he accepted the offer and went with the man. Soon flourishing and finding himself as he shot through the ranks, shooting up even more when his old CO contacted him. Seizing the chance he went to work for her again but that didn't last and he was approached by another to join them and did so finding a place he belonged in until it was destroyed from within.
However his loyalty to them remained and he helped gather the damage and left them to be in a position among other friends where he could help all of his friends.
Now working for the recently renamed Ayervon Recycling Enterprises Greg maintains his old ties and friendships while leading his departments to the best of his abilities.
